The Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act covers all equipment that needs electrical current or electromagnetic fields in order to operate. The “Stiftung Elektro-Altgeräte Register” EAR has compiled a list of these pieces of equipment.
There are exceptions to the rule for some items, for example, products where the primary function is not dependant on the electrical use (a doll with a speech unit), or is permanently installed in one location.
The Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act does not differentiate between the products which will never be disposed of because of their high value. In this case, your company must also comply with the guidelines.
